Our pea varieties
Our pea varieties LISA and MAXIGOLT originate from two breeding programs with diverging focuses in regard to the utilization of the varieties.
LISA was bred as a forage pea and has been cultivated since 1978. Although LISA is an older variety, we observe a growing demand for this product, which is directly linked to the increase of organic farming as well as the additional requirements for greening in conventional agriculture.
MAXIGOLT was selected in order to serve the specific requirements of a fresh market pea and has been marketed since 1979. MAXIGOLT is well known, not only by horticulture undertakings, but also quiet popular among hobby gardeners and vegetable farmers practising direct marketing.
