RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A SUCCESSFUL CULTIVATION
Production target | High grain yields, very low risk of lodging, and highest quality requirements. |
Sowing time | From the end of September to mid-October |
Seeding | Sowing time and sowing rate: |
Early sowing: 120-140 spikelets/m² (app. 150-180 kg/ha)
Late sowing: 160-180 spikelets/m² (app. 200-220 kg/ha)
Increasing the sowing rate on the basis of organic production methods (e.g. harrowing) should be carried out at own discretion.
Weed control | Zollernfit competes well against weeds, so that two to three rounds of harrowing should normally be sufficient. The first harrowing should be performed as early as possible from the beginning of the 3 leaf stage on in spring. A second round should be carried out three to four weeks later. |
