Ramires is a very early growing 100% male hybrid with excellent quality traits and a very high yield potential. In comparison to other very early growing asparagus varieties, Ramires has an outstanding spear diameter that shows positive effects especially on light soils.

CULTIVATION

RAMIRES is suitable for all types of asparagus soils. The excellent spear diameter shows positive effects particularly on light soils. For the cultivation of white asparagus we recommend a plant density of 3-3.5 plants per running meter. RAMIRES is suitable for all forcing techniques to obtain early crops.

YIELD AND QUALITY

RAMIRES offers a very high yield potential. The spears are straight and smooth with a perfectly firm tip. RAMIRES is classified uniformly with a high proportion of yielded spears ranging between 16-26mm, which is particularly interesting. Due to its positive spear traits RAMIRES produces a high proportion of spears classified into category I. RAMIRES has an excellent flavour and little tendency for breaking.

FOLIAGE

RAMIRES shows medium-long, solid and firm sprouts. Its medium green foliage is loosely branched and has a high tolerance against the naturally occurring asparagus leaf diseases. The foliage remains green and strong for a long time in autumn.
