RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A SUCCESSFUL CULTIVATION

Production targetModerate grain yields
Sowing timeFrom the end of September to mid-October
SeedingSowing time and sowing rate:

Early sowing: 120-140 spikelets/m² (app. 170-190 kg/ha)

Late sowing: 160-180 spikelets/m² (app. 200-220 kg/ha)

Increasing the sowing rate on the basis of organic production methods (e.g. harrowing) should be carried out at own discretion.
Weed controlOberkulmer Rotkorn competes well against weeds, so that two to three rounds of harrowing should normally be sufficient. The first harrowing should be performed as early as possible once the 3 leaf stage has begun in spring. A second round should be carried out three to four weeks later.
